Presenting the classic elegance of modern farmhouse design, Connecticut Cottages & Gardens recently featured a stunning black and white kitchen that Bilotta designer, Danielle Florie had the privilege of designing with architect Di Biase Filkoff.
This remarkable working farm had been neglected for nearly fifty years until the current owners decided to replace the old structures and transform the Stonington estate into a modern farmhouse inspired by classic New England barns.
Bilotta’s custom Shaker cabinetry was built to fit flawlessly into the space and was the perfect way to add traditional style with a modern twist. The black hardware adds an unexpected touch of contrast, which helps make this kitchen stand out, and the flat doors give the cabinets a clean, contemporary look that ties the home’s style together. Overall, the cabinetry provides both form and function — crafted to look beautiful and provide plenty of storage throughout the space.
We are proud to have been part of this extraordinary transformation. Read the full article, “Farm To Table” as seen in Connecticut Cottages & Gardens and get a peek at the project. (View additional photos on our website.)
