Seeking a full-time receptionist/office assistant for our Mount Kisco showroom. Start date would be January 3, 2023 with some training in December of 2022. Candidate must be willing to gain/learn a basic understanding of the business including familiarity with showroom products and services to answer basic questions for the public. Assist designer/sales persons and management with all administrative activities as needed. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Answering phones and directing calls or taking messages and keeping track of personnel attendance. Will also include occasionally answering phones for additional showrooms for headquarters.
  • Responsible for general appearance of Mount Kisco showroom each morning for opening – lights, displays, samples, papers etc. all neatly in order. Coffee and water for clients as needed.
  • Greeting and tracking clients, introducing designers when needed.
  • Assisting with minor computer issues as well as other office machines – copier, printer, phones, etc.
  • Main contact for communications with vendors and service companies for the Mount Kisco showroom.
  • Assisting Mount Kisco designers with various administrative tasks including typing contracts and all related documents, job information sheets, organizing job folders/binders etc. as well as setting up appointments.
  • Keeping track of supplies, brochures, business cards, etc. and communicating replenishment needs to the appropriate person at the Mamaroneck headquarters.
  • Creating monthly floor schedules/designer staffing for Mount Kisco showroom.
  • Setting up product trainings for designers with vendors as needed.
  • Coordinate interoffice paperwork deliveries.
  • Candidate must have a high level of expertise in MS Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, and Outlook in order to assist with miscellaneous tasks, research, create and maintain various spreadsheets.
  • Ability to evaluate and improve on current in-house systems is a plus.
  • Misc. ad-hoc administrative projects as the arise.
  • To be considered candidate must: be fully vaccinated, have reliable transportation to Mount Kisco, be able to legally work in the US, have a personable, and engaging personality.

Schedule: Monday through Friday (F/T)
Job Location: Mount Kisco
Salary: $20 an hour
