A Hudson Valley glass house, designed to integrate with the outdoors and serve as a personal refuge for the owner-architect, was recently featured in Aspire Magazine’s Autumn 2021 edition (see page 41).

This home’s kitchen was previously featured in a New York Times slideshow, as well as in an article in the Hudson Valley Magazine. The Aspire Magazine article shares photos of the interior and exterior of the entire home, and discusses the industry collaborations that helped bring the home’s design to fruition.

An important design goal was for the individual rooms to flow seamlessly into one another in order to help the home feel more spacious. This was achieved by concealing appliances, designing the kitchen island to resemble a piece of furniture and by selecting materials and colors that complement and echo the outdoor surroundings.

The owner-architect credits design partners from the A&D Building, including Bilotta designer Aston Smith, for their assistance in both the creative process and execution of the project.
