A Bold Vision Realized: Lisa Kroll’s Striking Pound Ridge Kitchen
“I brought in some real craftspeople to fulfill my vision!” Lisa declares.

When Lisa Kroll envisioned her new home in Pound Ridge, she knew the kitchen had to make a statement. “The kitchen was always going to be black,” Lisa shares. After researching local experts, she chose Bilotta. “They took my general vision and transformed it into a real focal point of the house. It doesn’t look like every other kitchen around here – and that’s just how I like it.”
To achieve this dramatic look, Bilotta collaborated with Fordham Marble Company, selecting bold black quartzite with striking white veining. The material extends up the backsplash to the ceiling and forms a waterfall edge on the island, creating a sleek, lacquer-like finish.
At the heart of the design was Bilotta Senior Designer Danielle Florie, who crafted the custom cabinetry for the Kitchen, Dining Room, and other areas of the home, as well as the millwork for the bookshelves. Danielle’s attention to detail ensured Lisa’s vision was translated into a kitchen that is both dramatic and timeless.
The result is a space that anchors the home with sophistication and individuality; a true showcase of Bilotta design.
