On June 16th, 2021, 100+ members of the design community gathered for Westchester Home Magazine’s 10th Annual Design Awards at the Wainwright House in Rye, NY. We are thrilled to announce that the design team for the following project was awarded first place for their successful collaboration on this clean and classic grey kitchen. Congratulations to: Randy O’Kane, Senior Designer & CKD – Bilotta Kitchens; Erica Crisses – Erica Crisses Designs; Ira Grandberg – Grandberg & Associates Architects; Mika Raja – Studio MRD; and Lauren Caron – Union Adorn.
“This spacious kitchen in Scarsdale exudes a calm, clean, and classic feel. The details were the focus: fluted Bendheim low-iron Pyramid textured glass, Lacanche French range in matte black with brass trim, and a custom hood. The homeowners decided to forgo cabinet and countertop surfaces on the exterior wall next to the dining alcove (a thoughtful addition) so that they could have a large table for the family to gather. This allows a tremendous amount of natural light from the windows to keep the kitchen bright, so a soft gray was chosen for the custom Bilotta cabinetry. The kitchen also features a Wolf microwave drawer and warming drawer and SubZero wine cooler.”

Present at the event were Randy O’Kane and Ira Grandberg. In her acceptance speech, Randy thanked Westchester Home and expressed how truly amazing it was to be amongst the industry’s most talented designers, architects, builders and more. She finished with how true success comes from thoughtful collaboration with people who are just as passionate as herself – and how the most successful projects are born when each person brings their own area of expertise to the table. Bilotta has always been a big proponent of collaborative work.
