JOB DESCRIPTION
We are always on the lookout for talented Kitchen and Bath Designers/Salespersons to join our award-winning design firm. With multiple showrooms located in Westchester County, Greenwich, CT, and Manhattan, we offer exciting opportunities for creative professionals who are passionate about design and customer service. The ability to work retail hours, including some Saturdays, is required depending on the showroom location.
To be considered, a candidate must demonstrate strong and successful design, specification, and sales experience with custom cabinetry for residential work, with special emphasis on kitchens and baths and other millwork for the home. Must be detail oriented, personable, organized, and comfortable with considerable public interaction. Demonstrated record of a minimum of $1,000,000 in annual sales and ability to work under pressure preferred. Daily responsibilities will include meeting with clients, preparing designs and proposals, handling showroom sales with potential clients, visiting job sites, managing jobs with office staff, drafting and installation team.
Knowledge of both European and American cabinet construction, drafting and rendering programs, AutoCAD, Sketchup and AutoKitchen is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10 years’ experience in Kitchen & Bath Design/Sales. (Millwork for all rooms in the home.)
- Proficiency with custom cabinetry/kitchen design and rendering programs and/or ability to draw floor plans and elevations for customer presentations.
- Ability to learn and use proprietary pricing programs.
- Knowledge of all other related kitchen products including appliances, countertops, plumbing, and electrical components of kitchens.
- Ability to read and synthesize construction drawings and foresee problems is a plus.
