Daniel Popescu, Designer
Daniel Popescu has had a lifelong passion for design and a successful career working with nationally and internationally acclaimed interior design companies. Since joining Bilotta's New York City showroom in 2007, he has built a close following of architects and designers who use him for projects from Washington, D.C., to Canada, as well as in the tri-state area. He even designed a fire-engine red, high-gloss kitchen for a home in Trinidad in 2012.
A native of Romania, he earned his degree in architecture from the University of Bucharest. In 1982, Daniel moved to Canada, where he designed a showroom in Ottawa and then opened his own company, Jetset Design. Two years later, Artcraft Kitchens, one of Bilotta’s premier contemporary cabinetry lines, hired him to oversee the development of kitchen designs, many of which are still in use today. Daniel’s career also took him to Detroit, where he was the Chief Design Consultant for the Madison Design Group, and Washington, D.C., as the a senior designer for Poggenpohl. In October of 2013, Daniel was was featured in New York Spaces for an article on what it takes to be a successful kitchen designer.
