Philanthropy is important to the Bilottas. The entire team at Bilotta believes in working to improve the quality of life of their customers and giving back to the community around them. Knowing that there are countless charities around them to support, the Bilotta family vowed years ago to make a particular commitment to support local children’s charitable organizations including Friends of Karen. Friends of Karen is a charity that raises money for families of children with life-threatening illnesses. Bilotta has chaired six major fundraisers for "FOK" since 2001, raising over $100,000.00 each time. In addition Bilotta supports local school fundraisers, dance schools and arts programs all over Westchester. They also support the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club by participating in their designer show house and house tours each year, as well as hosting events in their showrooms for Camp Clio, "a serious fun place for adopted children". In 2005, the Bilotta family and staff teamed up with Chef Emeril Lagasse to renovate the Children's Storefront School in East Harlem, an experience that not only touched the lives of the children but the Bilotta team themselves. Asked why they focus on children's charities, Maria Bilotta comments, “I am so blessed – I get to sit around my kitchen table with my family and just enjoy each other’s company after a busy day. Not everyone has that simple luxury. I do what I can to help the less fortunate breathe easier.”
